I feel like I presented the Vendors and Street
Spirits as sort of dumb and one dimensional. I don’t think they really are, but
they’re Vendors, they don’t even have their own names so they don’t put that
much effort into shaping the world around them. Uncle Friendly is the only
Vendor with enough ambition to take charge.

I considered developing Magic Rock’s plan into a
full blown overthrow, but it wasn’t necessary and I wanted Wonder to knock Uncle Friendly down a peg or two him/herself instead.

For a giant slug creature Uncle Friendly is
unnervingly good at sneaking up on people.
