About the Story

Wonder: After the Awakening is a non-canon story set in Ur--the world of the MMO Glitch. The story is about a Glitchen who appears after the 11 Giants dreaming of Ur have awakened--an event which should have wiped out the world. Almost everyone has disappeared, but for some reason Ur is still around. Now it's up to Wonder and co. to find out what happened and how to fix it if they can.

Very early in my time playing Glitch I found a note laying on the ground on a Groddle Forest street. The subject read, "Hey, you!" and the body was simply, "Yeah, you. You're the best!" I don't know why, but it had an immediate affect on me. I was slowly learning the ropes and realizing that the best aspects of the game were the things that players invented for themselves. At the time I wasn't aware that writing and dropping notes was an option and my mind was suddenly filled with possibilities of stories set in the land of Ur that I might come up with and leave for other Glitchen to find. I had about a million ideas.

Unfortunately our time in the game was cut short and I never realized my dreams of becoming a well known Glitchen author. I was distraught over the loss of the game but once it ended it hit me a little harder than I expected and in my grief I suddenly had an idea for one last story.

I set to work almost immediately getting my ideas on (virtual) paper, but with the game over and forums closing soon after I felt that I had to start putting pages up quickly or lose my target audience to the winds of the internet.
